I think that once the two first books are out of the way you'll enjoy the others more and more. My personal favourite until recently was book four, Goblet of Fire.

Fantasy is quite hard to write without a little derivitiveness along the way don't you think?

I'm just carefully rereading them all from the beginning of book one to the end of book six in order, and taking notes. I'm enjoying the second book far more the second time around (I've read three, four, and five several times each, but had only read one and two the once). The first book, as JKR has said herself, needs some rewriting in places to tidy some stuff up. I'll be interested to see exactly what she does change, if she does it. I know the bits that I think need tweaking or rewriting.

They get better as they go along. I mean, I read the first quite a time after all the hype started. In fact the first two where out and the third just published when I started.

I made a concious decison after the first two to carry on reading, I wasnt really impressed too much with the first.

Now, I cant wait for the last
